Georgia is a Ph.D. Candidate at the School of Geology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, with her doctoral research to investigate Compound Geological Disasters with Earth Observation data and GIS. She also holds a BSc and an MSc degree in Geology from the same academic institution. She is currently working as Earth Observation Specialist for the RUS Copernicus Project at SERCO ITALIA SpA. She has worked as Intern for ESA/ESRIN, Frascati, Italy, at the EOP-SDR, Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes, and as Scientific Assistant at ETH Zürich, Department of Earth Sciences, Engineering Geology Group, Switzerland, within the“SAR for Geoscientists” project. Being an Earth Observation Scientist and Geologist, Georgia is the InSAR Director for the SOILRISK application.
